Ken is the Managing Director and Founder of Allston Advisory Group, LLC. His mergers & acquisitions, business valuation and exit strategy experience includes a wide variety of assignments including closely-held businesses and professional practices. Industries include distribution, retail, manufacturing, construction, security, automotive, funeral homes, health care, insurance, legal, accounting, internet service and financial institutions.
Mr. Kapp’s business valuation and litigation support services have been rendered for a variety of purposes including, but not limited to family law matters, business damages, buy-sell agreements, shareholder litigation, estate and gift tax matters, buying and selling businesses and breach of contract. Representation in litigation has included plaintiff, defendant, mutual and court-appointed neutral.
Prior to forming Allston Advisory Group, LLC, Mr. Kapp served as Senior Managing Director of bCatalyst Advisors, LLC, a regional investment banking firm providing merger & acquisition, business valuation and financial advisory services to the middle-market. Prior to this, Mr. Kapp had a 35 year career in public accounting; 29 years leading the firm he founded.
Ken received his BS in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Insolvency Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, the Association for Corporate Growth, and the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors.
Nolan is a Managing Director at Allston Advisory Group, LLC, and is involved in all aspects of the firm’s business; more specifically, he is responsible for executing a variety of M&A advisory, investment banking, consulting, and valuation assignments.
Prior to joining the firm, Nolan spent several years as an analyst in the health care industry where he reviewed, negotiated, and optimized contracts on behalf of a hospital network. Previously, he worked at a regional public accounting firm assisting closely-held businesses and professional practices.
In 2015, Nolan was selected by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts as a 40 under Forty honoree. Honorees from across the US were vetted against their peers, and must have exhibited excellence, superior quality, and the spirit of pioneering in the performance of valuations and other related advisory services.
